Aches and pains during pregnancy?

I recently discovered that i am 5 weeks pregnant. Now I am experiencing abdominal aches and pains in my stomach area, not severe though; and pains in my upper, middle and lower back. Are these the normal and common aches and pains during pregnancy?

Hi! I have had 2 pregnancies that resulted in miscarriage. The first one was sharp pains which I thought were period cramps until blood started to run down my leg at work, and I went through two tampons before the ambulance came. It was scary and I didn't even know I was pregnant.

The second time was this past December. Two days after I found out I was pregnant I started having very severe pains in my stomach where period cramps would be, and in my back. I was in so much pain that I screamed too and I could only lay there holding my side.

The next day I bled a little bit and just thought it was spotting. So even if you see a little blood, definetly go see a doctor!

Good luck with everything. I am now pregnant again and just trying to stay as stress-free as possible until I am through the first trimester.

Be careful and listen to your body. They can monitor if you had a miscarriage through a blood test checking the hcg count. Good luck again!

I am two weeks late and feel like I have the flu. Today, after making love with my husband I had cramping and some bleeding. I am not sure what to make of it...any help??

I had the same pains when I was pregnant.

The back pain is usually from gaining a little weight in the beginning.

The abdominal pain is generally from your uterus growing.

Now if the pains get VERY bad in your abdomen you may have a ectopic pregnancy which is something you want to be sure about because it is dangerous.

So go see your doctor if your abdomen hurts badly.

I am also experiencing terrible stomach aches, not so regular, but when they start they make me scream at times. I'm just a few weeks along, is this normal?

I have been having pregnancy symptoms - a lot of them. A few days ago I had some pinkish spotting, and then the next 2 days I had some bleeding; not heavy... lightly. It was supposed to be time for my period but it was very light and short. I too have very slight cramps in my lower abdomen. I'm concerned on what I should do. Get a home pregnancy test? Or just go to the doctor?

I experienced the same symptoms with both of my pregnancies. The aches and pains lasted until I was 3 months along! If it worsens you should see a doctor. Good luck.
