I want to know what is the best time to get pregnant. On the 17th day after my mensus I was together with my husband, we really wanted a baby. I want to know that this is the right timing to cause me become pregnant. I think my ovulation days are around the 15th day after my menstration cycle. Pls pls reply me

The best time to get pregnant is during the time when you are most fertile.

It coincides with the ovulation period in your own menstrual cycle. At about this time, there is a surge in your luteinizing hormone (a pituitary secretion that triggers ovulation).

A mature ovum is strategically released from the follicles into the uterus. The ovum or egg is made ready to be fertilized soon. It stays there for up to 12 hours, waiting for any possible rendezvous with an active sperm cell. After those 12 hours, the ovum starts degeneration.

To determine the most fertile time in your cycle, it is best to learn more about your ovulation period.

Evaluate when the exact date of your ovulation is. If you are able to do so, you could strategically time your love making accordingly so you could get greater chances of getting impregnated.

There are now ovulation kits available that are intended to help us women determine the timing of our monthly ovulation. It would be smart to try one of them. You could also do a simple calculation on your own.

To find out more about the exact dates of your ovulation period, track your menstrual cycle. From there, you would count days. Figure out the possible date or due of your next period. From that date, you should count back about 12 days to 16 days.

The date range is the period when you are possibly ovulating. For women with regular or normal period (28-day cycle), it is much easier to determine the fertile day. The 14th day is usually the best and most productive day in the cycle to get pregnant.

The volume and texture of your cervical mucus would also give you clues about your most fertile days. Usually, rising estrogen levels during fertility days make such mucus appear to be clearer, stretchier, and more slippery.

I was transferred to a fertility clinic and they told me the best time to try to concieve is day 10 thru 16 into your cycle. I also use those ovulation strips that tell you if you are ovulating, that may boost your chances a bit. Good luck :-)
