In most cases the answer is probably no. The odds are somewhere around 99% against getting pregnant after having your tubes tied, but once in a great while there is an exception. The failure rate is guestimated to be between 1% and 1.5% or so.
If the tubes were clamped there is a better chance of it happening than if they were cauterized (burned) which is more permanent.
For someone who wants to get pregnant after a tubaligation (changed her mind) then she could ask her doctor about a reversal procedure. This is not easy or quick or inexpensive ? and it does not always work.
If any woman suspects she might be pregnant after having her tubes tied it is very important to talk to a doctor because there could be an ectopic pregnancy where the baby starts to grow in the tube instead of the uterus / womb and it is a very serious situation.
