Can stress cause a late period?

As of today, I'm 9 days late for my period. My last cycle was pretty normal, a little lighter than usual but still the same length. I have been experiencing some fatigue, subtle cramps, cravings, and soreness of my nipples. The last time I had sex was the end of last month (yes I used protection) and I'm starting to think I could have a bun in the oven. I'm a college student and I carry a lot of stress. Can stress cause a late period as a PMS symptom, or am I pregnant?

You Might Be Pregnant

Yes Stress Can Cause a late menstrual, but to me those symptoms sounds like you are pregnant! Go check with your doctor to see what is actually going on, and still be sure to take a pregnancy test. Better yet, take two. Try First-response, it works great!

Yes, stress can cause that

It could be stress, (or it could be symptoms of being pregnant).

Stress can cause a late period. Other things that can cause it include medicines, exerting yourself in physical activity, being on a fast or a strict diet, staying up too late/lack of sleep, poor eating habits, etc. Lots of stuff that happens in college :)
