Can you get pregnant during periods?

I had unprotected sex October 17 my period started October 18th. I then had unprotected sex during my period on the 3rd day of my period (October 22) and again on October 25. My period falls almost exactly 28 days give or take a day or two. I am also trying to have a baby. With the above patterns is it a good possibility to be pregnant?

Get pregnant during a period?
by: Casey

Most women would not get pregnant during a period. The reason is, our body ovulates around 14 days before or after a period. So on a 28 day cycle, you would ovulate on day 14 or so. Having sex during or a day or two after your period would be the worst days to try to get pregnant. You'd want to do it the 14th day before or after your cycle. However, some women do get pregnant on the 7th day after their period... and you say you had your period on the 18th and had sex on the 25th ... so you could possibly get pregnant on that day. If you are trying to conceive, try in the days that are farthest away from your period. Like day 14 after/before, and days 12-13-14-15-16.
