Digital pregnancy test false negative?

I tried two pregnancy test today. The regular hpt one came back positive but a digital one came back negative. I have had a lot of white discharge this month, and I have also had sore breasts and my lower back seems quite sore... could I be pregnant? Could the digital pregnancy test give a false negative and the old fashioned test be right?

I have been through the whole pregnancy-or-not-pregnancy roller coaster and it is really tough.

But I have come to figure out that a line is a line and even if it has a slightest little bit of a faint line; that just means your HCG levels aren't high enough.

I took probably 20 pregnancy tests with every single one of them with a faint line, and then went to the doctor and the blood test was negative too, but guess what... I really was pregnant!

It turned out that I didn't have enough levels of hCG - even in my blood - to get a positive test.

But I am now about seven weeks pregnant and thankful that I know for sure now. I hope this helps!

Digital Pregnancy Test False Negative

Manufacturers of digital pregnancy tests claim that their products are much better and more reliable than the regular home pregnancy tests available in the market today.

Many experts agree with them. Digital kits almost always uphold up to 99% accuracy level while home pregnancy tests usually hold about 97% accuracy.

During pregnancy, the body starts secreting human Chorionic Gonadotrophin or hCG. This hormone is what is detected in both pregnancy tests.

The hCG doubles at least every two or three days, reaching its maximum level in about seven weeks to 12 weeks into pregnancy. The most accurate results from using either kind of test could be expected if you perform the tests during the specified time.

If results still differ, the best way to resolve the difference is through going to the doctor for a blood test. That procedure would still measure hCG levels in the body, but of course, it is more accurate.

EPT pregnancy test

I took an EPT pregnancy test with one line for neg and 2 for pos. I tried one 5 days before my period would be due and it was one faint line. I tried again the next day and the line was a darker but still faint.

I tried a digital test the following day and it showed negative. Then I tried a third EPT test but again it was like the first 2 and showed a faint line ... lighter than the 2nd test I took, much like the first. My period was due this week but it didn't happen. I have some pregnancy symptoms including sore breasts, cramps, nausea, cravings. Do you think I am pregnant?
