Early pregnancy test?

I am 35 years old and have been trying to conceive for 6 or 7 months. I have been charting my cycles. I am positive that my chart is Triphasic. I usually get back pain and cramping anywhere from one and a half weeks to two weeks before cycle. The only signs I have had in the last week is lower back pain, pressure or heavy stomach, not cramping. My Cervix is also fairly high and soft. I decided to do a home pregnancy test, but it was negative. I am 10 DPO, and cycle is due in a few days. Could I be pregnant??
