First response ovulation test?

Has anybody tried the First Response ovulation test, or any other kind of ovulation predictor? It seems like it might be helpful to know for sure what days you are ovulating when you are trying to have a baby. How does it work and is it accurate? Or should I just watch the days on the calendar like I have been doing?

First response ovulation test
by: Clara

There are two days during a woman?s cycle when they are most likely to conceive. When you can predict those two days with accuracy, you will have a better chance of becoming pregnant.

There are several ovulation tests available on the market today, but the First Response ovulation test is said to be over 99% accurate in laboratory tests.

This test measures the level of luteinizing hormone, which is also known as LH, in your urine. A surge in this hormone level indicates when conception is most likely to occur. You will find enough urine sticks in this ovulation test for you to test your level of LH for one week.

You will find this test is pretty easy to use and easy to understand. Some of the other tests can be a little confusing.

There are also ovulation calendars that you can download and print off the internet to help you track your results. This can help you get a decent idea of which days you are most fertile.

It is recommended that you have intercourse within 24-36 hours after your level of LH surges. While it is still not a guarantee that you will conceive, it does help raise the odds.

For those that want to become pregnant, these tests are quite helpful! You should use the test first thing in the morning, when the level of LH in your urine will be the highest.

The test is read quite like a traditional pregnancy test. Follow the directions exactly to get the best results.

It worked well for my friend

Yes a friend used it and it worked fine. She and her husband were trying to conceive and she just wanted to be sure of her ovulating days. The test told her when she started ovulating so she was relaxed and happy, knowing that her body was ready to get pregnant. She told me that her husband thought it was so funny because she would call him at work and tell him "we got the green light, tonight is the night," ha ha.
