I'm just wondering if I should take flax seed oil or fish oil pills ... which are better for pregnancy?

Avoid flax seed oil - use fish oil instead
by: Anonymous

Avoid flax seed oil. It could cause problems.

Fish oil is way better for pregnancy.

There is a great article on this topic, on this same website you are on now. Look over there on the left on the menu, see at the top where it says Omega 3 Fish Oil. That button takes you to the article. It really explains the difference.

The short and sweet answer is...

1. Flax seed oil does not contain any DHA or EPA at all.

2. The DHA is what you want for your baby's brain and you can only get DHA in fish oil, not flax seed oil.

3. But more important, flax seed oil could cause problems and should be avoided by pregnant women.
