I am 31 and I had a vaginal hysterectomy 5 years ago. I am really having a lot of these menopause symptoms. Could I go through menopause after my hysterectomy even though I still have one ovary?

You should know that with a hysterectomy, if only one of the two ovaries is removed, the woman should still experience normal menstruation and ovulation. That is because the remaining ovary would keep on functioning. In fact, most women who undergo hysterectomy of one ovary still are able to get pregnant provided they are still in the age and they are sexually active. The same goes for menopause. These women would have menopause naturally.
