Improve chances of conception?

My husband and I tried to conceive on my supposedly most fertile days. The waiting is just so difficult for me. I didn't know if there was something I could do to help my fertility and improve my chances of conception...such as make sure to stay warm, or cool, take prenatal vitamins, get lots of sleep, or anything that might help me get pregnant?
