Irregular period

For the past couple months, my period has been irregular.

I usually get it a week after my roommate gets hers. Last month, I got it before she did. Then at the end of the month she got it twice and I got mine around the same time, with the exception, that it only lasted an hour maybe less. And to top it off it was very light.

My period was like this 2 months ago too. And for the past week, I have had little dizzy spells that last about maybe a minute.

What could be the cause of this?

I am only 24, and have been off birth control for at least 10 months.
