Is clear discharge a sign of pregnancy?

I have been feeling tired, sore, with cramping. My period just got over a few days ago. I have been having clear discharge that is very stringy and I don't know if I am pregnant or not. I haven't taken a test yet but I plan to. I was just wondering if this sounds like I have the symptoms.

Yes one of the early signs of pregnancy is a clear or milky white discharge, and it is often stringy like egg whites.

The technical name for this is "leucorrhea" or "leukorrhea," which can be caused by a hormonal change. Often it is from the imbalance of the estrogen hormone. If you stopped taking the pill, that can cause the change in hormone balance. Or if you are pregnant, that can change your hormone balance too.

This discharge might be just another one of the perfectly normal early signs of pregnancy. Or part of normal ovulation. But there could be other reasons for this kind of discharge so if you keep having it be sure to talk to your doctor.

If this is the only pregnancy sign you have then you might not be pregnant yet. The only way to know for sure is to use a pregnancy test.
