Is dizziness an early sign of pregnancy?

I've been feeling really dizzy the last few days and I was wondering if anyone could tell me - is dizziness an early sign of pregnancy? I feel faint when I stand up suddenly from the couch or at my desk at work. And I feel it if I go up stairs. One friend at work said OMG you're probably pregnant. So is this a sign? Thanks.

Feeling dizzy...am I pregnant?

I have been ttc for 2 months and the last week or so I have been lightheaded and so very tired. I really don't want to get excited yet because I have taken 2 hpt and both were negative. I took the first one 7 days before my expected period and the second one 4 days before.

Is there anything else I should look into or just wait to see if I miss my period?

It is so hard to wait!

I have been dizzy at the beginning of every pregnancy (I am now on my fifth!!) and I'm dizzy right now every time I move my head - everything else follows shortly after!

Yes, along with morning sickness you are likely to experience dizziness. Some women may even have some fainting.

The reason for this is, very early in pregnancy the blood vessels will dilate and this can cause blood pressure to drop. It can also cause low blood sugar. Both of these conditions can cause you to feel dizzy or lightheaded.

Dizziness is one of first early pregnancy symptoms I had when I got pregnant with my baby. I was really tired all the time too. Being dizzy could be a symptom of something else too however so do a pregnancy test and talk to a doctor or nurse if you keep feeling dizzy a lot.
