What if you have heartburn, feel sick, and lower back pains? by: Anonymous
Alright so, I've been having heartburn every single day. And I've been feeling like I'm going to throw up but I never do. I also am starting to have lower back pains and stomach pains. Should I get a home pregnancy test just to be on the safe side? Because all of the tests I've used before always came out negative.

As you move farther along through your pregnancy, you may begin to experience heartburn.
It?s a very common symptom of pregnancy and for many women; the time they ever experience is when they are expecting.
It can range from a simple case that goes away rather quickly to one that seems to never go away.
It can cause some nausea and even vomiting at times, and you may find that it gets much worse when you lie down.
The main reason for heartburn in pregnancy, especially in the later stages, is that the size of the baby in your uterus affects your stomach.
The baby presses upon your stomach as it grows, eventually causing heartburn and other stomach discomfort.
For many women, the constant heartburn is one of the most uncomfortable pregnancy symptoms they can have.
The best way to prevent is to eat small meals and avoid spicy foods. Chocolate, caffeine, and some vegetables, such as peppers, can cause heartburn.
Know what triggers your heartburn.
You may also find some relief from nighttime heartburn by lying on your left side.
If your heartburn is severe, speak with your doctor about possible remedies.
Many women find that traditional heartburn relievers do not work well enough and the prescription medications are usually not recommended during pregnancy.
Some homeopathic remedies include dissolving a teaspoon of baking soda in a quarter cup of warm water. This doesn?t taste very good, but it can be very effective. Baking soda neutralizes the acid in stomach, which will reduce the symptoms of heartburn.
Early sign of pregnancy by: Jehnavi
Heartburn can be a symptom in months 1-9. In months 1-4, heartburn is caused by hormonal changes. In months 5-9, the baby can cause pressure on a pregnant woman's organs. Eating frequent smaller meals and remaining in an upright position at least an hour after eating can help.
In pregnancy, with some fathers-to-be, it is difficult for them to understand the life that is within their mate. It is beneficial for the mother and father to be at the first ultrasound together as it seems to help fathers-to-be form a mental picture when they see movement of their baby on the ultrasound screen. Anticipation soon grows!

Heartburn And Spotting by: Enid M
I have been having heartburn more frequently these days and a week ago I noticed that I was bleeding lightly (spotting) and my mood swings are becoming extreme. I'm so scared to buy a pregnancy test coz I'd be very disappointed if it comes out negative! I've always wanted to get pregnant.
Yes heartburn is a pregnancy symptom by: Irine
Some women never have heartburn until they are pregnant. Then when it happens it can be somewhat surprising. The reason it happens during pregnancy is because as the uterus and baby grow they press up against the tummy and put some pressure on the digestive system. A sip of sparkling water can help, and so can soda crackers. To see other symptoms look to the left of this page and click on the button that says Pregnancy Symptoms. There is a whole list of them there. I bookmarked that page and I refer to it all the time LOL.
