Is sweating a sign of pregnancy?

Sometimes if I'm going out doing things I find that I have sweating really more easily and my body has a different kind of smell or else my sense of smell is becoming more sensitive. Is sweating a sign of pregnancy, and is another symptom being sensitive to smells?

Sweating can have a lot of causes. One can be that your hormones are off for a different reason than being pregnant.

One of these possible reasons could be if you have a thyroid problem I am on thyroid meds due to hypothryoidism and if the tyroid hormones are not at the correct level that can make me either too hot or too cold.

If they then adjust the meds this can be leveled out and temp regulation is better again.

Sensitivity to smell is also a possible sign of pregnancy but I would imagine there are also other possible causes for this too.

The only reliable method to check on pregnancy is to do pregnancy tests- but even these can be incorrect if not done correctly.

I would suggest going to your doctor and getting their advice.

It can be, but it may also be a symptom of another health condition

Many women who are experiencing periods of heavy perspiration wonder if it can be a sign of pregnancy. It can be but it may also be a symptom of another health condition.

Because it is difficult to tell whether sweating is caused by pregnancy it is important to get checked over by a doctor before you simply assume that pregnancy is to blame.

In the first three months of pregnancy, a woman?s body is working overtime in order to create a healthy environment for the baby to grow in. Because of this, many of the resources which would be used by other areas of the body instead are used to nourish the growing baby. Excessive sweating, along with fatigue can be signs that the body is working hard to support a growing fetus.

Also, the change in hormones can cause the thyroid and other areas of the body to behave in unusual ways and sweating can be a by-product of this.

In some cases, excessive sweating can also point to a heart problem.

When in doubt it is always a good idea to visit the doctor. If you are pregnant, a doctor visit can ensure that everything is well with the baby and can rule out any health conditions that you need to know about.
