I am 50 and have started having symptoms of menopause, but my doctor made me get a blood test just to make sure. The test came back fine, so does that mean I have not started my menopause?

I've just had the same test for menopause. Results said nothing is wrong. That cannot be true. I have been keeping a monthly diary, etc. I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago.All my symptoms match up to menopause. I feel awful aches and pains, I cant sleep, no libido, mood swings and absolutely NO energy and complete exhaustion.

I too have had a blood test which came back normal. I really wanted to know that my symptoms were menopause because I am suffering from anxiety/health issues, and i really would like a diagnosis for my symptoms. Hot and Cold sweats aching joints headaches, brown spotting instead of red. I hope it is just the menopause and not something bad.

I, too, have been suffering from the same things as you guys. You know when your body is changing!!! I had a blood test two years ago which came back normal. I have just had another test and this now shows that I have started the menopause.

Unfortunately, we can suffer these symptoms for many years (great). So stay positive and look after yourselves :)

Thyroid??

For all women who have normal female hormone test results but are still symptomatic, you should consider asking your doctor to test for thyroid issues. Symptoms related to thyroid issues are very similar to menopausal symptoms.

I have all of the symptoms of menopause: sweats, bad moods, aching body and the rest. All I want to know is, if this is treatable now then why wont my doctor help me?
