I feel sick in the morning but I don`t throw up. Is that one of the signs of pregnancy? And I eat a lot also, go to the loo very often, feel like I'm bloated and have a lot of gas. Please I need answers, Thanks.

Morning Sickness Signs

Morning sickness is a normal sign of early pregnancy. It is very common especially during the first and second trimesters. Although it is typical to feel sick in the morning, in some cases, morning sickness lasts throughout the day.

It often goes away after the first trimester but some women still suffer with it until the fourth or fifth month of conception.

The theory about morning sickness is that it is caused by hormonal changes that take place during pregnancy and an imbalance in the blood sugar level.

To help overcome morning sickness there are some steps you can try.

First, take your time getting out of the bed, don't jump up and get active. Lay there and take some deep breaths first and then get up.

Second, eat some soda crackers before going to bed at night and after waking up in the morning.

Third, you should eat smaller meals but more frequently. Some pregnant women eat every two to three hours throughout the day. Avoid smells that make you feel nauseated, and avoid consuming foods that are extra fatty or spicy.

To calm an upset tummy try drinking some sparkling water and eating soda crackers or a piece of toasted bread.
