I had unprotected sex about 5 weeks ago. I took a pregnancy test 3 days after my missed period but it came out negative. It has now been two weeks since my missed period. What should I do?

My period is two weeks late, test was negative
I should have started my period by now. I took a test and it was negative. I waited a week and it is negative again.
I'm now late 13 days. Should I wait a couple of more days to re-test? Lately I have been tired, and having weird cravings for foods. I seem to go more to the restroom, and my boobs seem bigger. I'm gaining weight in the lower belly part but not on waist. It looks like I have a pregnant tummy, a baby bump. Maybe I'm just bloated?
Period 10 days late by: Telle
My period is ten days late and this has never happened to me me before. My period is always regular. I have taken two home pregnancy tests with negative results. I'm extremely tired now and I wake up feeling sluggish. I just have a feeling that I will find out real late that I'm pregnant....
3 weeks late by: Katya
I haven't had my period yet. It's 3 weeks late. I had 4 home pregnancy tests and they came up negative.
I'm going to the doctor for a blood test. I have been having pregnancy symptoms. Tiredness, tender/sore breasts, going to the toilet a lot, and some cravings. I started to crave processed cheese and I normally hate cheese.

My home pregnancy test did not show up positive til I was 5 weeks along. Wait a bit and take another. Sometimes it does not show up right away. It depends on the level of hormones in your pee.
Two Weeks Late Period by: Rochelle
If your period is two weeks late, you could still be pregnant if the test was negative - although it is very rare.
Pregnancy tests work by detecting the buildup of specific hormones in urine but if those hormones are not present in high enough concentrations, you can get a false negative.
This is something you should consider if you have had unprotected sex or if you are showing any other early signs of pregnancy such as fatigue, sore nipples and nausea.
There are other reasons why your period may be late however. You may have had a recent illness that threw your body off of its regular cycle.
Also, serious amounts of stress can cause your period to come late, so the more stressed you are getting the later your period may be.
You may also have miscalculated when your period was due to begin.
Some women may also have irregular periods, which mean that they may start late. Some women may skip an entire month and still not be pregnant.
They may find that it is difficult to determine when they have become pregnant without a reliable last menstrual period that they can use to count ahead from to determine their due date.
If you are trying to have a baby, it can be safest to assume that you might be pregnant until a doctor can confirm or deny what your test has said.
It is always a good idea to take pre-natal vitamin supplements and fish oil, avoid alcohol and caffeine, and generally try to take care of yourself until you know definitely what is going on inside your body.
Negative Tests by: crystal
My friend took about 12 pregnancy tests, maybe even more, over the course of several months and all were negative. I know it sounds crazy but she knew that she was pregnant, she just knew it, and then I took her to the doctor and the doctor said she was already 3 months pregnant.
I am waiting for a positive result by: Anonymous
I took a pregnancy blood test a day after my period was due. But result was negative. I consulted a doctor and she advised me to wait for 10 days.
Tested again - positive! by: Anonymous
I first took a test a day after my period was due, and I just took another test today, so my period was now 13 days late, and this test is positive!!!
Try another test by: Anonymous
If you took a test 3 days after it might have been too soon. But now that it is 2 weeks after it is a good time to try another test.
