I had unprotected sex on September 17th. I started my period on October 1st but my period was only 3-4 days. Could I become pregnant from that one day on the 17th?
Yes It Is Possible To Bleed & Still Be Pregnant by: Anonymous
I had what I thought was periods for 5-months with my youngest daughter until one night she kicked my really hard and that was the 1st sign I was pregnant with her.
I went to the doctors and he examined my tummy and said yes I was defo pregnant. A scan revealed I was 21-weeks and 4-days pregnant (SHOCKED :) BUT HAPPY)
I explained that I didn't realize I was pregnant as I had been losing blood for the last 5-months but this was just brushed aside and nothing was ever investigated as the loss had stopped ...
I went into labour at 37-weeks of pregnancy and I had a placenta aburption and nearly lost my daughter and I ended up having a blood transfusion.
After asking why this was never detected they said it was a mistake that should have been noted in my pregnancy records but wasn't :(
If you do find out your pregnant and you continue to bleed please make this heard as it is clearly an underlying problem with the placenta. I was extremely lucky my daughter was okay and so was I but it could have easily ended a different way...

The 17th was around two weeks before your period so that is the time you would be ovulating and have a good chance of getting pregnant. Having unprotected sex when your body is ovulating makes it very hard to avoid getting pregnant. But if you had your period then hopefully that might mean you are not pregnant, although some pregnant women still get a light period like that, even though they are pregnant.
The only way to know one way or the other is to try a pregnancy test.
