Period 2 weeks early on birth control

by Cora
(Ogden UT)

I started my period 2 weeks before I'm supposed to but it is not heavy like normal. I am on birth control so i figured maybe that caused it because I haven't had symptoms other than eating more and feeling a little sick to my stomach and being tired a lot. I also feel weird bubbling in my lower stomach. I have only been on birth control for a month n a half.

The pill can do that sometimes
by: Alissa

When you first start taking the birth control pills they can cause a change in your AF cycles. And it sounds like you had some spotting but not a full period. Hopefully that's all it is, but you can use a pregnancy test to be sure. It is important to know because if you got pregnant before starting the BC you'd want to stop taking the BC now. Talk to your doctor that prescribed the birth control so they know how your body is reacting to the BC and what is going on. Keeping in touch with the doctors office is always important.
